I love French Pharmacies – they have such lovely products! No nonsense, reasonably prices, but work a treat! My three favourites are:
1. Embryolisse
Embryolisse is one of my very favourite moisturizer. It is a makeup artists’ secret weapon but has recently become easier to find and more well-known. Before it was usually only available at pharmacies in France but now you can get it online. A quick search will see where your closest option is.
It is very mild and gentle with a delicate clean fragrance which is not strong at all. It is suitable for all ages and all skin types. Can be used to remove makeup, as a shaving cream and as a moisturiser. My skin absolutely loves it. Sweden can get very hot in summer (making my skin more greasy) and of course it gets extremely cold in winter (making it tight and dry) but this moisturiser balances it out so it never feels tight or oily.
2. Homeoplasmine
Homeoplasmine is the French version of Elizabeth Arden’s 8 Hour Cream and Japan’s Yu-Be. It’s a multi-purpose ointment that soothes, protects and moisturizes the skin. A little bit like Aquafor but not shiny or greasy like 8-Hour cream. In fact, it kind of has an au naturel, matte finish. And it is KILLER for dry lips, literally reattaching the flakey skin and filling in the cracks for hydration without the sheen. Perfect to use prior to makeup for a smooth, silky palette. So great for all flaky, dry areas including sun or wind burn. A little goes a long way and the ointment penetrates for hours. (thanks Beauty Banter)
3. Bioderma Crealine H2O Micellar Cleansing Water
A quick easy cleansing water that is like a cleansing oil + gentle cleanser + toner in one. It works like a bomb and is available for different skin types
