I am a lover of Eve Lom’s Cleanser and The Organic Pharmacy’s Carrot Butter Cleanser, both of which are solid balm cleansers which melt into a silky oil on the skin, and are removed by muslin cloths. They make my skin feel clean but not tight, and remove every trace of makeup.
I was really keen to try the new Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter, which is described by The Body Shop thus:
This cleanser is an indulgent make-up remover for the whole face. It gently and efficiently melts away make-up and impurities, leaving skin feeling clean, refreshed and pampered.
- Gently melts away make-up
- Leaves skin feeling clean and petal-soft
- Removes all types of make-up
- Suitable for sensitive skin and contact lens wearers
I was not disappointed. It smells lovely – not medicinal like the Eve Lom and Organic Pharmacy Carrot Butter Cleansers. And not strong like Body Shop’s Body Butters. But delicate, light, fresh, natural. I am not 100% sold on the tin because if they get a small ding in transport they are impossible to open. And I think the size of the cleanser should be a bit more generous. But other than that it is a wonderful product which I can heartily recommend.
