I have waist-length curly hair which tends to be very dry. I don’t colour it or use any appliances on it apart from a comb when it is wet. I have it cut every six months, wash it once or twice a week, condition it every day and just leave it to dry naturally. The only product I use on it is Sebastian Potion 9 - it is a styling cream and conditioner in one. I use it to tame and moisturise my curls.
Even though I use minimal products on my hair it still needs a deep clean every now and then. I used to use Maria Nila Deep Cleanser but have recently switched to Redken’s Hair Cleansing Cream Shampoo. I don’t use it very often but it really gets every bit of build-up out of your hair and makes it soft and shiny again. I can really recommend it.
For my type of hair I like Kérastase and Redken – I generally stock up from cheaper sites like Lookfantastic or HQhair, where you can get 3 for 2 or other special offers every week (usually Wednesdays and weekends) and worldwide shipping is free. These two sites are cheaper than average, even at full price if you are member. If you then add their specials and discounts, they are almost as cheap as supermarket shampoo. Especially because a little goes a long way.
