This is the last of the Pearl Jam biographies I had on my pile. Not for you, Pearl Jam and the Present Tense by Ronen Givony was not popular in some circles, but I always enjoy seeing the lifetime of band events through different lenses.

This is from a charity shop. You can never choose what you find there, but I read Lucy Clarkes’s Sea Sisters and enjoyed it, so took a chance on this one.

I also found the latest UK Cosmpopolitan and, given its young demographic, was surprised that I used easily 50% of their top votes for best beauty products. In addition, I don’t use perfume, hair tools, anti-ageing products or much makeup so it is  very unusual for me to have used so many of the products that had been voted so highly. I guess there is a difference between Readers’ Choice and Editors’ Choice though.

I use:

  1. Dove Original Deodorant Spray
  2. L’Occitane Shower Oils (my favourite is Almond)
  3. L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream
  4. NUXE Huile Prodigieuse Multi Usage Dry Oil
  5. Gillette Venus Razor
  6. Clinique Moisture Surge
  7. La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5
  8. Garnier Micellar Water
  9. Clinique Take the Day off Cleansing Balm
  10. Garnier Ultimate Blends Smoothing Coconut Hair Food
  11. Olaplex Purple Shampoo
  12. Denman D3 Classic Styling Brush (I have had mine for about 20 years and always marvel at how cheap they are!)
  13. Tangle Origian Teezer
